How long have you been into competitive fitness?
Officially since 2014, but I started doing it on occasion since I was 8 years old in 2010.
How did you get into competitive fitness?
My dad started when I was 8 and he let my older brother start too, but I was too young so I would always try to convince him to let me go workout everyday, but I was too young. I wanted to workout so I could be like them, so I would go to the basement gym when no one was around and make up a workout on the spot. I used to go watch my dad compete and would watch the Games on ESPN. I was in love with the sport since then!
What's your drive for continuing competitive fitness?
I am having the time of my life competing in the sport, and I would love to see if I could do it for a career down the road!
What are your favorite movement?
I love anything with bar muscle ups in it, 18.3 is hands down my favorite WOD I’ve done.
What is your least favorite movement?
Anything with burpees or devils press
What is your most memorable moment?
The opening ceremony of the 2018 Games!
Advice to new people?
Don’t worry about the weight on the bar or the scale of the movement, certain movements and weights take time. The one thing you can always do is push yourself, whether that means doing one pull-up or fifty. NO ONE starts out as a Games level athlete, do it to better yourself!
